Whittier is one of the oldest towns in southern California, often referred to as the gateway to Orange County. Whittier is home to Whittier College and is also where former president Richard Nixon ran his campaign office. The homes here have been built in the early 1900’s and whenever they are being renovated we are called in to tar a shower pan or hot mop a deck or patio. We have been servicing this community for years, in fact our founder Ryan attended California High School, which provides a vested interest in the city of Whittier.
Hot Mopping
Hot mop tar is a good way to waterproof projects like showers, decks, roofs planters, patios, car ports.The process is we take tar and heat in a kettle which will get past 600 degree, we use hot asphalt to adhere layers of tar paper to cover the surface. We overlap each sheet to prevent leaks, applying enough pressure for bonding.
